Acts of Kindness

I went for a walk around North Hills and decided to stop by Kendra Scott. While I was there, I met a wonderful sales associate. I was inquiring about the jewelry because I have a gift card that my father gave me before he passed away. I’ve been hesitant to spend it because I wanted to find something special.

As she explained the different pieces, I told her I wanted to come back when she was working to purchase one of the necklaces. It would be a meaningful way to use the gift card since I didn't have it with me. She then asked me when my father passed away and what his birthday was. After I shared this information with her, she put together a lovely necklace.

She explained that Kendra Scott donates jewelry each month to people with heartfelt stories. Hearing about my father's story touched her, and she wanted to gift me a necklace featuring his birthstone. My father's birthday would have been September 12, while her father’s birthday was September 2, and he passed away in early 2000.

You would have thought I had received a whooping in that store—I cried so hard! I told her she was an angel and that you never know what someone is going through. She hugged me and provided the support I needed in that moment. Small acts of kindness can truly make a difference.Thank you, Kendra Scott, for having such a rewarding and heartfelt program in place and for employing such a compassionate employee.

Happy birthday month to our dads! 💙
